Well here we are at the end of 2011.My dream of winningThe Open has been realised
and I will never forget Royal St.Georges and the euphoria of winning a Major.
The fact thatThe Open was played on a true links definitely gave me an advantage as
I grew up playing on links turf.All the practice at Royal Portrush certainly paid off as
did playing my other favourites Co.Sligo and Donegal Golf Clubs.
I am delighted to support the work of North & West Coast Links Golf. The 11
Championship Links courses are all world class Connemara,Carne,Enniscrone,Co.
Sligo, Donegal, Narin & Pornoo, Rosapenna, Ballyliffin, Portstewart,Ardglass & Royal
Portrush what a stable!
I mentioned in an interview recently my delight at the region winning"European Golf
Destination of theYear 2011".These courses truly deserve the accolade.That coupled
with the hospitality and quality of accommodations and genuine people make for a
unforgettable weeks golf here.
